Akatagoroit Primary School in Amukura West Ward had every reason to smile when they received material support from Busia First Lady Judy Ojaamong.
Judy donated a desktop and 40 story books to Early Childhood Development Education pupils. They were received by the school head Josephine Akabten. “We have been waiting for the desktop following the pledge by Governor Sospeter Ojaamong when he visited the school a few weeks back.”
Mrs Akabten said the school emerged the best in that Sub County in the 2014 KCPE exams but dropped in 2015. “We hope to bounce back this year,” she said.
The First lady challenged them to ensure they are ranked top in this year’s exams, “And we shall celebrate together the sterling performance in January 2017,” she said.
She urged the candidates to be focused on their studies, adding that their success in their national exams will impact positively in the future careers.
Mrs Ojaamong witnessed cancer and breast screening and family services offered to area residents courtesy of the County Government’s Beyond Zero Mobile Clinic.
She urged residents to undergo regular screening which she said was offered free of charge. “This mobile clinic is here to help county residents who should utilise it well, “she said.
The residents who had turned up for free medical services expressed confidence in Governor Sospeter Ojaamong’s administration which they said was development oriented.
Judy also visited Adurukoit Primary School in Teso North where she wished the pupils the best of luck in their KCPE exams.
