Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga has joined Chinese Super League team Guizhou Zhicheng. The Kenyan international had impressed at Swedish club IF Djurgarden, and he had already familiarized himself with the Swedish league, chipping in with goals in his debut season.
The Chinese league has been a common destination for footballers worldwide, with renown stars like Argentine Carlos Tevez and Brazilians Oscar, Hulk and Alex Teixeira joining the league. The newly promoted Guizhou Zhicheng will definitely look to maximize his talent, given that Olunga is a deadly finisher, something he proved during the second half of his season in Sweden.
Michael Olunga left for Sweden in 2015 after building a reputation as a bonafide striker at Gor Mahia, and he had signed a four-year-contract at the Swedish club.
