President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga were briefed o n the progress of the Building Bridges initiative at State House. The taskforce formed to take charge of the initiative came to fruition after the much publicized handshake between President Kenyatta and the former premier.
Part of the responsibility of the taskforce is to establish a sustainable mechanism of addressing the perennial challenge of ethnic antagonism and competition, lack of national ethos, inclusivity, devolution, safety and security, and corruption.
The 14 member taskforce joint secretaries are Amb. Martin Kimani and Paul Mwangi and includes Adams Oloo, Agnes Kavindu, Senator Amos Wako, Florence Omose, Saeed Mwanguni, James Matundura, Major John Seii, Bishop Lawi Imathiu, Maison Leshomo, Senator Mohamed Yusuf Haji, Morompi Ole Ronkai, Pro. Bishop Peter Njenga, Rose Moseu and Archbishop Zecheaus Okoth.
