Approximately 100,000 residents of Mt.Elgon, Kabuchai and Kanduyi Sub Counties will from today begin to enjoy clean and safe water supply with the newly commissioned KOICA II water project.
The Chepyuk-Kibabii water project commissioned by the South Korean Ambassador to Kenya, H.E Yeo Sung-Jun, and Governor Kenneth Lusaka will increase access to this basic commodity to residents in the region.
The project, funded by the Korean government to the tune of KSh 600 Million, is a testament to the power of collaboration between the Republic of Korea and the County government of Bungoma.

Ambassador Sung-Jun further announced the commencement of KOICA III in 2025, to benefit Mt Elgon, Kimilili, Tongaren, Webuye East and Webuye West residents.
