Kenya has recorded 1,065 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 7,386 tested in the last 24 hours, bringing to 61,769 the number of confirmed positive cases in the country. The cumulative tests conducted are now 737,749. Of the cases 993 are Kenyans and 72 are foreigners.
888 patients have recovered from the disease, 824 from the home based care program, while 64 have been discharged from various hospitals, taking the total recoveries to 41,019. The fatalities have reached 1,103, however, after 10 more patients succumbed to the virus.
Cases in the Counties are distributed as follows; Nairobi 263, Mombasa 181, Uasin Gishu 63, Nakuru 62, Kisumu 53, Kiambu 47, Kajiado 38, Kilifi 36, Kericho 30, Busia 30, Baringo 26, Kakamega 25, Nyeri 21, Turkana 21, Homabay 20, Trans Nzoia 18, Kwale 15, Nyandarua 13, Siaya 13, Nyamira 13, Machakos 12, Kisii 11, Meru 8, Laikipia 6, Murang’a 6, Bungoma 5, Tharaka Nithi 5, Kitui 4, Nandi 4, Bomet 4, Lamu 3, Elgeyo Marakwet 2, Isiolo 2, Vihiga 1, Kirinyaga 1, Migori 1, Embu 1 and Makueni 1.
