Governor Kenneth Lusaka has disclosed that his legacy administration is set to employ 115 qualified ECDE teachers in the new financial year, 2023/2024.
Speaking in Kaptama Ward, Mt Elgon Sub County, during the launch of ECDE classrooms, Lusaka confirmed that more teachers will be employed to meet the pupils demand.
“ECDE and Vocational Training Centres is our sole mandate. We are going to employ more teachers to meet the required education standards.” Said Lusaka
Lusaka reiterated the County Government’s commitment to enhance the quality of education, expressing his optimism on the feeding program for school going children.

“Sustainability is key. Even as we focus on constructing more classrooms, plans to initiate the school feeding program are underway. We must derive alternative ways of maintaining our children in class,” he affirmed.
He noted that the KOICA phase three project in Mt. Elgon will solve the water challenges in the region.
“We have a mega water project that will soon be operational. It will serve this region and beyond.You will be able to access reliable and safe water. ” He noted
The County Boss further highlighted ongoing projects across all Sub Counties, while assuring residents of his relentless efforts to improve their livelihoods.
He was accompanied by Deputy Governor Janepher Mbatiany, Hon.Francis Chemion( Kaptama MCA), Chief Officers; Nicolas Kiboi (Education), Soet Sichei (Environment), Senior County Officials among others.
