A somber mood has shrouded Mawe Tatu village in Kongoni location, Likuyani sub county after a 13 year old boy committed suicide by hanging himself.
According to the deceased’s father Mr. Hannington Wawire, his son Eugene Lutome took the action after he had been asked to go and look after cows which was against his wish.
He said the standard five pupil at Mawe Tatu primary school disappeared without obeying his order before his body was found dangling on a tree behind their house.
“I had asked him to go and graze animals and it seemed to be against his wish before he disappeared without telling anybody where he was going to,” said Wawire.
He said the body was discovered by the deceased’s young brother who was playing within the compound on Saturday afternoon.
Police officers from Nangili removed the body and took it to Kitale mortuary as they launched investigations into the incident.
