A 14 year old boy electrocuted while pruning tree
Grief enveloped Bondeni village, Matunda sub location in Likuyani Sub County after a 14 years old boy was electrocuted to death while pruning a tree.
Confirming the incident to the press, Nzoia Location Chief, Mr. Josphat Edambo said the deceased, Bethwel Kipyego, had climbed on tree to prune it the tree before a falling branch touched on adjacent power lines and led to the tragedy.
The victim instantly dropped down dead, according to eye witnesses.

“The boy was just two days old in the village having arrived here on Monday on a visit to his cousin relatives,” revealed the local administrator.
A man suspected to have tasked the deceased with pruning the fateful tree was arrested and taken to Matunda police station as police launched investigation into the incident before arraigning him in court.
The body was transferred to a morgue in Chereng’any in Trans Nzoia County.
Elsewhere a middle aged man took his life by hanging himself inside his house at Bituyu village, Mbagara sub location, Lugari Sub County.
Matayo Sereta is alleged to have been so frustrated after disagreeing with his wife who packed her belongings and went back to her parents.
Looking unsettled the 33 year old man left for Eldoret before he returned on Tuesday evening and locked himself in his house where he committed suicide before his body was discovered dangling from the roof top.
Mautuma location Chief James Makokha confirmed the incident adding that the body was removed to Chebaiywa mortuary in the neighboring Uasin Gishu County as police officers from Turbo launched investigation into the incident.
