Residents of Ivona West village in Mautuma location, Lugari Sub County were treated to a rude shock after a cow belonging to one of them delivered a two-headed multi-deformed calf.
According to the owner, Mr. Solomon Indusa Mgadi, his cow which was nine months pregnant experienced difficulties throughout labour period before giving birth to the abnormal creature.

Indusa said after concerted efforts by neighbours failed to help the animal deliver safely he was forced to seek assistance from a local veterinary officer.
“However, even our veterinary officer was forced to call support from his colleague at Naitiri in our neighbouring Bungoma County before the two surgically operated the animal,” explained Indusa.
The farmer disclosed it was the first delivery by his six years old dairy cow.
The abnormal calf which had two pairs of eyes, ears, noses and two mouths attracted a huge crowd of villagers who milled around it for better part of the day.
“We just want to see it will walk and which mouth will it use to suckle milk from its mother,” said shocked residents.
