Vihiga County registration officer Ruth Ochieng’ has raised concern over 6000 uncollected Identification cards at the department of registry urging the applicants to pick them.
She said the ID’s have been lying idle at the offices despite constant plea for applicants to collect them through the interior ministry.
“We have pleaded with the applicants to collect their ID’s but these most important and crucial documents are still with us,” said Ochieng’.
She said the ID’s will now be given to Chiefs and their assistants to distribute to the applicants at location and sub location level respectively.
Ochieng’ appealed with the applicants to collect their documents through the chiefs and their assistants who are closer to them.
“Those who have not collected their ID’s should now liaise with their respective administrators and have them at their convenience,” said Ochieng’.
She also called on former KSCE candidates to apply for the document at their offices at sub-county level.
“We want our children to apply for the document in large numbers before they join colleges next year,” said Ochieng’.
The registration boss was speaking at her offices at the County headquarters.
