Hundreds of residents flocked the home of Centrine Wangila in Kambini Village of Kimilili Sub County after her sheep delivered a two headed lamb an incident that has sparked mixed reaction among the residents.

In an exclusive interview Centrine said she bought the sheep a few months ago and was expecting that it would give birth to twin lambs after having taken good care and given it enough pasture but after it delivered she was dismayed.
“I sought for assistance after the sheep showed signs of wanting to deliver on Tuesday night and a neighbor who is an expert came to help and we were shocked on realizing that it had two heads but the rest of the features were just normal” she said
However she could not attribute the issue to witchcraft as it was being insinuated by some neighbors saying such features are normal in some animals and wished that the sheep will someday deliver a healthy lamb.
She further called upon the veterinary department in the County government to roll out services at the grass root level of checking domestic animals to ensure such incidences are dealt with in the correct manner in future.

Her sentiments were echoed by Sichangi Lusano the village elder who said with the experts’ advice they could have saved the life of the lamp and it could have been taken to an animal orphanage or a museum for the rest of the world to experience such a unique creature.
Other residents said it was important for the County government to empower the extension officers at the grass root level to enable them visit the villages to advice farmers on better ways of taking care of the animals saying they have skills but cannot be able to reach all the farmers.
The lamb was later buried.
