Learning activities were paralyzed on Wednesday at St Joseph’s Kamusinde high school in Kimilili sub County after irate students stormed out of their classes demonstrating against the new school principal brought to the school.
Led by the school head of students Charles Simiyu the students claimed that the new principal Peterson Mwaniki is not suitable enough to be in charge of the school since he had also been chased away from his previous school due to poor management.
He disclosed that the students felt uncomfortable after being told that Mr. Mwaniki was to take over the school swapping with his predecessor saying as a young school they were looking forward to have someone who is development conscious and hardworking to lead the school to another level.
“We do not have sufficient classroom, a laboratory and a library and if we find someone who will propel the school towards achieving these we will not be able to achieve our dreams in class and from his previous records we are sure he cannot deliver” he said
