Bungoma county government through the ministry of agriculture will partner with Israel government to boost dairy cow farming across the nine constituencies in Bungoma.
Speaking on Sunday at Misikhu Catholic Church after a funds drive for buying of the church bus, Lusaka said that in his visit with President Uhuru Kenyatta in Israel he got the opportunity to partner with different investors from Israel on how to boost the production of dairy animals in the county.
He said that they will partner with Israel to help the county grow in different fields of rearing of good breeds of dairy animals through modern techniques.

“We have started negotiations with Israel government to help our women, youths and dairy farmers across for growth in milk that is in high demand in the county and offer more job opportunities to our people,” he said.
He said that the county imports milk from Uasin Gishu and Tranzoia counties and the program will help the county acquire its own milk for consumption and sale.
The governor said that one of his manifestos is to improve rearing of livestock across the county to be sued for both meat and milk with the vast experience he acquired as a livestock permanent secretary.
Lusaka said that bungoma being an agricultural county will benefit in different memorandum sighed by the national government in irrigation and water departments by President Uhuru and the Israel government.
He said that several youths from the county will benefit by going to study in different water institutes in Israel.
On voter registration, Lusaka said that Bungoma County has donated nine vehicles to help the IEBC so that they can attain the target of three hundred thousand across the county saying so far IEBC has only registered nineteen thousand residents in the ongoing exercise set to end on March 15th.
Lusaka noted that it’s alarming that the ongoing exercise is almost over and the number of those registered is still very low.
He asked residents who have not registered to register as voters if they want to elect leaders of their choice in the coming elections and drop those they feel are not delivering as leaders.
He urged leaders at all levels across the county to sensitize residents on the importance of this registration exercise because it will enable them participate in there democratic rights of choosing leaders of their choice.
