Pastors urge peace during Easter celebrations

All Christians have been urged to stop doing evil and preach peace during this Easter bearing in mind that Jesus Christ was crucified and shed His blood on the cross to all those who believe in Him for they shall be set free.

While preaching in Friends Church Bungoma Pastor Jairus Simiyu told the followers of that church to be hopeful in everything and have peace amongst themselves more so preach and pray for peace in the whole nation of Kenya.

“The main word I want to tell you is that remember that the Son of God was crucified because of our sins so you need to know why He was laid on the cross and not a human being,” he said.

Pastor Simiyu said that lack of peace brings enmity and whenever two people don’t agree there is always no development.

He urged all people to remember this day in truthfulness because when Jesus died on the cross it was a clear indication that all people’s sins are forgiven.

“As He will rise after three days have some change in your life because He would have died and risen with you therefore stop doing sins and let us forgive all those who wronged us,” he added.

Therefore urged all Christians to continue serving Him by doing good deeds and forgiving others for He Himself has forgiven the sins of mankind by being crucified on the cross.

He also wished all the Christians a HAPPY Easter.
