Chepkiit water falls is a conservancy found in Lelmokwo/Ngechek ward, Chesumei constituency in the border of Nandi and Uasin Gishu counties situated 2 kilometres from Mlango.

It is a joint collaboration initiative of the virgin Africa conservancy limited which came operational on August 2011 through the county council of Nandi.

“Chepkiit” to the local people means “view from afar” and is a warning about how treacherous the  rock surfaces can become thus is a warning about how perfidious the rock surfaces can become.

These falls are impressive in the rainy season and the surrounding open woodland provides beautiful scenery and picnic sites.

Chepkiit Waterfalls Conservancy is located at 0°24’33″N 35°10’42″E, in Riftvalley province bordering Nandi and Uasin Gishu Counties with an altitude of 2072m above sea level and flows westwards ultimately uniting with other major rivers which drain into Lake Victoria.

Tourists visiting the site are warned of the slippery rock surfaces that are dangerous thus reminded to be watchful when touring the place.

This is one of the natural resources the county government of Nandi owns out of the 65 sceneries which if utilized well the county will be rich.
