Homeboys rocks at Mumias against Nairobi stars
The Kenya Premier League new comer’s Kakamega Homeboys registered a narrow win at Mumias complex defeating Nairobi city stars 1-0
The only goal was scored by Andrew Murunga through a second half header in a match that had little action.
Mururi’s men came into the game with hunger to win as they got their fist corner just after the kick off but it did not pay off, Alibai had a chance later but his effort went wide and had another.

Ahmed had a chance to extend his sides lead when he was fouled by John Amboko but he missed from the penalty spot as his kick went wide not troubling the keeper.
In Kisumu County Stadium Tusker defeated Western Stima 2-1 in another most entertaining battle.
Wesley Kemboi was on target making the most of a Baron Oketch feed but Tusker turned the tide through goals from defender Eugene Asike and striker Michael Khamati.
Elsewhere AFC Leopards returned to the top of the League table after edging out Sofapaka 2-1 in a match played at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Kepha Aswani and Simon Abuko were the heroes for AFC Leopards diluting Sofapaka’s first minute goal registered by Brian Nyakan.
And Sony Sugar fell by a solitary goal to Mathare United in another Round Eight match played at the Nyayo Stadium.
Derrick Onyango had only lasted 12 minutes on the pitch when he scored his first goal for Mathare United in the process ensuring that they kept pace with league leaders Tusker at the summit.
The result leaves Mathare United level on 17 points with Tusker and AFC Leopards at second place while SoNy Sugar are second from bottom with three points.
