Kimilili Rangers handball club to take part in NHL
Kimilili rangers’ handball club is proud to have been elevated to participate in the National Handball League (NHL)after overcoming many huddles on the way and promises to bag the trophy at the end of the season.
Comprising of youths who completed their high school education in colleges and others waiting to join the institutions of higher learning the rangers’ team is promising fireworks in the national league that will begin on 30th April, 2016 in Nairobi.
The team coach Gerald Juma says they are practicing hard enough to enable them gad the trophy saying Kimilili schools are normally reputed for being handball champions and the players shining in the club and others around the country are products of Kimilili.

However he called upon well wishers to help sponsor the team in its endeavor to be national champions saying due to the players not having stable income they cannot be able to purchase uniform and recommended sports shoes for the game.
He further commended the support of handball fans from Kimilili and Bungoma County at large for encouraging the team as they play in the national league for the first time ever.
Team captain Alexander Juma said being youths they decided to form the team so as to counter idleness and boredom after finishing their high school education saying they are focusing much on becoming the national champions.
However he also mention lack of funds as their main challenge saying they lack uniforms and other kits but have the potential of boosting the name of Bungoma County in the league saying with the schools in Kimilili bagging the east African championships they have to follow in the same course.
He further challenged the youth talented in other games to emulate them saying if nurtured their talents can be able to help them be financially stable.
