Politicians urged to talk peace in campaigns

As many politicians are swimming in the moody of campaign they have been urged to spread the gospel of unity as the political wave continues to hit the country.

Chebukaka Parish Padre Peter Masigah who led the summon during the farewell of the late mama Juliana at Sichei Kabuchai constituency said the political leaders have the mandate to lead Kenyan citizens in brotherly way as the country prepares to go into next year’s general election.

Padre Masigah appealed to them to stop taking Kenyan citizens back in dark days that were experienced during the 2007/2008 elections by campaigning on a tribal line.

“If we want to lead the country on political platform we should stop what most of our leaders are doing today, let us not allow ourselves to be subdivided on tribal lines,” padre Masigah urged.

He also warned them against using defamatory wards that can cause a lot of sentiments to many families across the nation. He added that many politicians have taken advantage of unemployment among the youths and are using disrupt the peace in many occasions.

“The mayhem that we are seeing our sons and daughters causing are because of what the leaders have planted in their mind”, he said.

However he cautiously urged the parents to be care with the moral of their children to protect them from early pregnancies that is hampering education for many. He associated with the rate of pregnancy cases among the young people with the immoral way the way they have been brought up by their parents and guardians.

While quoting the bible he asked the collaboration between all the stake holders to curb the vices saying it has broken the Gods command.

“The marriage is for the people who have been joined together by the love of God but what the most of our children are doing is not what God intended the to do. I have never seen where your parents are still giving birth while children are also doing the same”. He added.

Padre  Masigah encouraged parents to follow the bible’s teaching to give birth to many children who can take care of them in old age. He said many people misinterpret the bible without knowing what the true hidden meaning behind in the day to day lifestyle.

On her side the principal of Mitua girls high school and the daughter of the deceased Mrs. Rose Murunga urged the parents to take their children to school to get the future people who can the society in right direction.

She said many parents have failed to instill discipline among their children leaving them going to wrong direction and engaging into immoral and unethical activities. She attributed the way her late mother brought them up as the key to their success.

“Parents give your children the best in education for them to get opportunity to bring good fruits to you and forget not to gain them,” she said.
