Bungoma county Kenneth Lusaka has dismissed corruption allegations leveled against his administration by his political opponents terming the reports of alleged graft in his county administration as outdated methods in wooing the voters.
Lusaka accused them of spreading propaganda regarding his achievement in the county.
He told the opponent to stop using old tricks to kill the birds as the Bungoma county residents are wise and they will judge the aspirants with their deeds.
“I want to tell my opponent let by senator Wetangula that my government have done various developments across the county through which I have made sure that the allocations brought by are taken care and used in the implementation of projects that suit my people.” Lusaka uttered.
However the governor criticized the roamer mongers to stop misleading the public through social media with false information concerning the county.
He appealed to the public to stop being blindfolded in steady asked them to reject the enemy of development in the county.
Lusaka termed the corruption allegations by his opponents as malicious and only out to distract his development agenda.
Speaking during the fund drive at Kibabii girls boarding school in Kanduyi constituency, he noted that his administration has tried a lot in implementing the devolution since it came into power four years ago.
Lusaka at his speech asked the opponent vying for gubernatorial seat to verify every information that they release to the public. Lusaka said such information could incite the political followers to turn against each other leading unrest in the region.
“I think some people are very happy when they release false information that angers my supporters but I like the way my people having been responding to such people. Though Bungoma County has been known for several things starting from wheelbarrow we had James Bond Wanyonyi who hanged to the helicopter and recently the 2.5m seat.” Lusaka added.
He then challenged anyone with evidence linking him to corruption in the county to present it to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission rather than mongering around.
Also he refuted the cord co principal Moses Wetangula’s statement convincing pupils that he is the president of Kenya. He fears that the statement may fail young children if such question appears in the examination.
The county chief executive officer assured the Bungoma residents that his administration is going to invest heavily in education urging them to take their children to school.
He requested the Kibabii dwellers to make use of the availability of the university and invest in lands by building hostels.
He used the opportunity to urge the women and youth groups to embrace poultry keeping to feed the slaughterhouse that is at Chwele in Kabuchai constituency.
The Bungoma senator and Ford Kenya leader Moses Masika Wetangula who was present during the event was asked the governor to stop mismanaging the funds that he is striking to bring to the county.
The co- principal reiterated that the cord leaders and supporters will not tire to demonstrate every Monday demanding to remove IEBC in the office.
“We are saying we cannot go into the next general election with the IEBC that is biased to one side the commissioners should evacuate the office to appoint others who will lead that office to give Kenyans desirable leaders in the general election.” Wetangula said.
The senator also accused the jubilee government of failing to remove the commissioners in the office.
Wetangula said president Uhuru has the powers to suck them but he is covering up with the use of the constitution.
He asked the residents to support his presidential ambition for him to win the race to state house come next year’s general election.
Others present were Kanduyi member of parliament Wafula Wamunyini and his Kiminini counterpart Chrisantus Wamalwa who also echoed the same statement on IEBC.
The two also requested governor Lusaka and other Luhya leaders from to rally behind Wetangula come 2017.
The Kiminini legislature criticized the jubilee administration of failing to fulfill the promise that it gave to school going children.
During the fund drive Ksh. 999,440 were contributed to help repair the roofs for the school that were damaged during the rainy season.
