Leaders from Trans Nzoia county have called upon primary school head teachers to desist from sending back home pupils for fees as this has endangered the life of a girl child.

Trans Nzoia county woman representative Janet Nangabo said this during the Madaraka Day celebrations at Kachibora primary school in Cherangany constituency.

Nangabo said there has been a trend by several primary school head teachers of sending home children every time saying some children especially girls never reach their homes because they are enticed by men who want to misuse them on the way.

“I want all education directors to make sure that those teachers who send home children for cash are dealt with because they are flouting rules as set up by the government,” said Nangabo.

Nangabo said pupils from public primary schools are expected to stay at school throughout the terms because their education is paid for by the government.

She took issue with teachers who have been involved in children defilement which she said has been rampant within the county and is being contributed by some school heads who have kept on chasing school girls.

The County representative said its time for Kenyans to work together and stay in harmony with others calling them to support the ruling coalition of Jubilee as it is tasked in seeing that development projects is attained.

“What we want now is development; Kenyans need better roads, better health facilities, better learning environments, and not politics that is not beneficial to Kenyans,” said Nangabo.

Chepsiro Kiptoror ward MCA Angeline Too was forced to cut her speech short when she rose to address residents as she tried to support development projects initiated by the county Government under Governor Khaemba.

The MCA had started naming some of the projects that Governor Khaemba has done including purchase of road construction machines which angered residents who started shouting forcing her to cut the speech that she was delivering.

The residents shouted telling the MCA to stop practicing Public relations for the county Government as they said what she was telling lies.

The MCA however finished her speech by telling the residents that she was set for a grueling battle next year with other aspirants who have declared to go for her seat.
