A somber mood has engulfed Namikasa village Mbakalo ward of Tongaren Sub County after a teacher was found murdered by unknown people.
The Naitiri primary school teacher had had a few drinks at a local bar where it is claimed he had earlier got in a scuffle with another customer.
According to one of his relatives Abraham Wamukekhe, late teacher identified as Martin Mulanda Lumbasi was called by one of his friends at the pub but later a brawl ensured between the late and another customer and in the process his phone and his motorbike keys got lost.
He added that the late decided to push his motorbike home since it was only about three kilometers from the pub.
Unfortunately he could not reach his home as he met his death along the way as his body was found dumped by the road side on Thursday morning.
The residents have called upon the security agents in Bungoma north to launch thorough investigations into the matter saying it is unfortunate that the family of the late teacher has been left without a bread winner as they were fully depending on him.
Area village elder Alice Mukhebi narrated how the assailants murdered the late teacher saying his hands were chopped off, his head skinned and eyes removed saying he died a painful death.

Mrs. Mukhebi said hey suspect the teacher may have been killed from elsewhere and his body only dumped by the road side.
She added that his helmet was also found a few meters away from the scene and called upon the security agents to conduct a thorough investigation in to the matter saying is unfortunate that the late has lost his life in such a way.
Bungoma North KNUT branch executive secretary Chrispinus Sifuna condemned the incident saying it is unfortunate that the teaching fraternity is continuing to loose their colleagues in such a horrific manner saying another teacher also lost his life after coming from the same pub.
He further called for the pub to be shut down with immediate effect saying people cannot continue losing their lives in incidences linked to the pub saying it is a killer pub and should be closed.
On his part the KNUT chairman Patrick Siketti Lipesa said they have given an ultimatum of seven days to the Bungoma County commissioner Joshua Chepcheng and the security department to arrest the perpetrators of the teachers’ death or they will march to his office in a massive demonstration.
He further proposed for the head of security at the sub county to be transferred saying they have failed to address to the escalating incidences of insecurity saying the teachers may be forced to retrieve from their daily services at school for fear of their lives.
The body of the late was taken to Kiminini cottage hospital to await a post modern to be conducted before the burial.
