Eunice Chebichi and Abraham Kiptum won the 10 Kilometer 7th Edition Re Discover Nandi Road Race an event that kicked off at Kamonjil power station and ended at Namgoi Mixed Day secondary school in Kapsabet.
Lydia Orang’o and Violah Chepchumba emerged second and third positions respectively in women category while Philip Birech and Amos Kipruto took second and third positions in Mens category.

The winners i.e Number ones in each category took home a total of Ksh. 70.000 each while those who emerged second and third positions took home Ksh. 40,000 and 30,000 respectively.
Speaking to www.westfm.co.ke after completion of the race the two winners Chebichi and Kiptum said they had prepared well for the race and that weather conditions were favourable for them.
Fredrick Kiptanui the organizer of the race while in an interview with westfm.co.ke said the main purpose of the race (the Re Discover Nandi) is to continue re-discover new talent of athletes who will do duty for the country in major events and championships in all over the world.
Brief history of the race
Re- Discover Nandi road race was established in 2006 and is a popular and established road race which takes place in Kapsabet Nandi county every year.

The Race is normally organized by the One Touch marketing and is one of the Top and most competitive 10 Km road races in the country.
It attracts a large number of participants and a mammoth crowd as Nandi is a home and source of champions.
Kiptanui revealed that through the race they have managed to achieve this by discovering new athletes who have done their duty for the country since the inception event.
Among them is the double world marathon champion Abel Kirui, Rita Cheptoo who won a major road race in Brazil and Magdaline Chemoria 2007 Amsterdam marathon champion amongest many other athletes.
The road race attracts price money for both men and women races which is paid equally from position one to Ten.
