The 11 member team is investigating Ksh. 1.2 million from the county funds that Mr. Dan Chitwa allegedly used in facilitating his wedding and honey moon abroad.
He sent his advocate David Kakhi to appear on his behalf but the advocate was rejected by the committee insisting that Mr. Chitwa must appear in person.

“As much as the speaker is allowed to be presented by a lawyer of his choice, the speaker must appear before the panel in person,” said the chairman.
The advocate was not allowed to speak before the house team as the committee adjourned its sitting to Friday 3rd of June 2016.
Mr Dan Chitwa is currently under suspension and is being investigated by the members to establish the truth on the misuse of the Ksh. 1.2 million of which he is being accused of using it to facilitate his wedding and honey moon.
According to the chairman, several witnesses have already been examined and the determination of the case will be based on given facts.
