A middle aged man in Chwele, Kabuchai constituency in Bungoma County has been lynched by a mob after allegedly murdering his nine month old son and severing his private parts before dumping the body in the Sijei river.
The body of Brian Wangila was found wrapped and the head which had deep cuts tucked in the river bank, with his private parts missing.
The man is believed to have carried out the heinous crime after a domestic tussle ensued with his wife forcing her to take off.

According to the neighbors, the boy’s father Mr. Maxwel Wakhale is believed to have directed his anger at the child, after his wife ran to a nearby house to get away from the volatile situation. The man tried to hit her with a rod but missed before she sought refuge at the neighbor’s house.
According to the neighbour, the man came home on Sunday demanding that his wife prepare meat for him, even though the meat wasnt available. When she asked for money to buy the meat, the scuffle ensued which led to the tragic ending.
When the neighbour and the wife went to the house to solve the matter, both father and son were missing, eventually, he returned without the baby.
“When we tried to find out the whereabouts of the baby, the man kept on saying he was at his sister’s place. We were shocked when he finally took us to where he had dumped the dead baby.”
The angered mob took the law in their hands and thoroughly beat up the man, the effort of the police to save the man from the angry mob was fruitless as they mercilessly stoned him till he died.
Confirming the incident the Kabuchai sub county AP commandant Isaac Ruto criticized the incident asking the public to stop taking the law into their hands. He also urged the residentss to solve their marriage dispute through better channels and ways.
The bodies of the baby and his father were taken to Bungoma mortuary.
