FMD East Africa Company that traces its roots to the year 1958 claims its strong roots in the country and has been a darling to farmers.

The managing Director Fergus Robley said the company was the sole distributing agent of the Massey Ferguson machines, an agriculture corporation that is pumping over 100 million dollars in agriculture within Africa to improve training of farmers on modern agricultural ways.
“We are the leading manufacturers of the farm machinery in the country so we are heavily investing in the agricultural sector to improve our farmers’ yields.” Said Robley.
Fergus Robley too took the opportunity to remind the farmers of how important the Massey Ferguson tractors were saying that buying a tractor was one thing but maintaining and sustaining the tractor was another tussle.

The sales manager FMD East Africa Lucy Mukuru said that they intend to give the best quality to farmers claiming that they were providing the best level commodity to consumers.
She added that they were offering free inspection to the spare parts that were being offered at a subsidized cost of the 30% from the 10 – 15% that is always the normal discount.
The tractors can carry up to 28 tonnes of sugar without breaking.
Miss. Mukuru said they were not only out to increase the sales but to hear concerns, problems and issues affecting the customers and figure out solutions.
She added that the main aim of the clinics is to bring Massey Ferguson tractors, harvesters and FMD implements which include Baldan, Jacto, Grimme and Enorossicloser to the company’s customers.

“The Company’s goal is to help farmers embrace mechanization and increase crop yields and profits through good farming practices,” added Mukuru.
The FMD Company also had its share of raising talents where the nearby host school Chemilil secondary school was given five soccer balls.
The farmers openly expressed their gratitude to FMD.
Wesley Ngetich who had traveled all the way from Kericho to have his questions answered, said for the last four years he had used the Massey Ferguson tractors he had seen little breakdown of his machine.
The transport Manager Chemilil sugar factory said he will go for the ploughing tractor as the tractors they acquired to ferry sugarcane were very economical on fuel consumption hence prompting desire to acquire more machines from FMD East Africa.
