CORD Leader Raila Odinga has called upon aspiring ODM candidates all over the state to give ample time to seating leaders to deliver on their mandate.
Raila cautioned all ODM hopefuls to shun intimidating elected leaders but instead pave way for them to work and finish their terms.
Speaking in Busia Stadium during an ODM rally shortly after a thanksgiving fete for Busia County Member of Parliament Florence Wainga in Butula, Odinga said seating leaders should be given time to work and warned aspirants to shun heckling and demoralizing elected ODM leaders.

He called for cooperation amongst elected and aspirants in order to create harmony and enhance development.
“We know aspirants are there and of course some of you are so good but kindly let us give the present leaders a platform to work without headache, this issue of belittling leaders will not take us anywhere, we need to work together as ODM family” said Odinga.
The Opposition leader condemned an incident where Matayos Mp Godfrey Odanga was heckled by youth who were chanting anti- Odanga songs.
The youth apparently had been hired by an Mp aspirant to cause mayhem and belittle Odanga before his party leader Odinga.
In a forum attended by senators, Johston Muthama, James Orengo, Mp’s Aisha Jumwa, Gladys Wanga, Junnet Mohammed, Tj Kajwang, Florence Wainga and Godfrey Odanga, the opposition leader asked all ODM rebels to express their grievances through relevant channels instead of using the Media.

Raila said all the issues raised by Western ODM Mps will be addressed saying that ODM is a democratic party that will ensure all members are satisfied and their concerns addressed immediately.
Busia governor Sospeter Odeke Ojaamong urged the locals to work with his government saying he will ensure they get all the necessary services ranging from Water, proper medical care and improved roads amongst other vital needs.
His government had earlier on launched a multibillion water project in Bukhalalire where residents will get water from boreholes that are solar energy enabled constructed in all sub counties.
Ojaamong challenged the youth to desist from incisive politics but instead work with him to enable the County grow to greater heights.
