Ford Kenya leaders snub 13th Memorial service for the late Michael Kijana Wamalwa.
The late Michael Kijana Wamalwa died in the year 2003.
The leaders including Ford Kenya party leader Moses Masika Wetangula, ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi, Cyrus Jirongo and other senators from western were no where to be seen during the memorial.
Trans Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba was supposed to be the host but unfortunately he never attended the function.
Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka (New Ford kenya), West Pokot Simon Kachapin (KANU) and Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga PPK were present and represented their counties in a well attended function
The rivalry between the two opposition camps was eminent as Jubilee coalition used the opportunity to popularise itself ahead of the next years General elections with promises of goodies for the residents if they support President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
Bungoma Governor took upon the task of being the host and introduced his other colleagues to speak before the mammoth crowd that took to listen to all the speeches of leaders at the function despite heavy rain witnessed.
However water and irrigation cabinet secretary Eugene Wamalwa was forced to speak to the crowd and told them to tell Governor Khaemba to join the ruling coalition if he wants his future to be bright.
“I tell you if you see Governor Khaemba who is not present today tell him to join the ruling Coalition if he wants to be safe come next year,” said Wamalwa.
The cabinet secretary told delegates of the New Ford Kenya party to attend meeting slated for next month starting on 8th at Bomas of Kenya to endorse the proposal of dissolving all parties to form up the new Jubilee party.
He said they have agreed that each party that is in within the ruling coalition of jubilee to dissolve itself and form the new party of Jubilee that will help steer the nation ahead.
CS for Water promised the residents to contest in the new party after his resignation as Cabinet Secretary next year February.
The occasion saw several aspirants from Ford Kenya party decamp to jubilee party among them the politician Maurice kakai bisau who has been campaigning for Ford Kenya party in the grassroots and who also supported Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula during the last hotly contested senatorial seat in Bungoma county.
Speaking to WEST FM, the politician said that he close to decamp to the jubilee party because he was privy of what was going on in the Ford Kenya party and claimed that he had been informed that the tickets had been offered to the foot soldiers of the party already.
The absence of Ford Kenya chairman Moses Wetangula and the area MP Dr Chris Wamalwa was communicated to the meeting by Saboti Mp David Lazaro who said the two had requested him to pass the message to the public that they were in another meeting.
Kiminini Mp Dr Chris Wamalwa had travelled to Rome in Italy to attend to the meetings of the Catholic members of Parliament.
