The much-awaited transfer of this summer window has been sealed, after Manchester United forked out approximately £89million to sign French star Paul Pogba, the total amount of money forked out in Euros being 110 Euros, 105 Euros plus a further 5 million Euros paid as add-ons to be paid in two financial years.
The deal has surpassed other mammoth transfer deals over the years.
There had been conflicting reports concerning payment made to his agent Mino Raiola, with the trend of paying football agents becoming more common.
The deal is considered one of the biggest this summer and will undoubtedly shift the power play among the top European clubs.
The Manchester club confirmed the transfer on Monday night as they seek to regain their top position in European football.
The France midfielder, who was recruited by Manchester United from Le Havre before joining Juventus, was delighted with his return to the English club saying, “There are no words to be honest, there are no words.I just came back to Carrington. It was like I’d just come back home. I just went for a holiday, looks like I went for a holiday. I’ve come back home, I’m happy. It’s just a great feeling, to be honest,” he said.

Given that Juventus are among the favourites to lift next season’s Champions league trophy, many have questioned his decision to leave the Turin club, and join a team in the Europa league, citing his pursuit of money instead of football domination, but he rubbished these claims, “It is difficult to explain so much in a few lines but I made a decision guided by my heart and nothing else.”
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was delighted with the signing, given that a year ago when he was still at Chelsea he had prioritized the signing of Paul Pogba.
“Paul is one of the best players in the world and will be a key part of the MUFC team I want to build here for many years,” said Jose Mourinho. “He has the chance to be at the heart of this club for the next decade and beyond.”
