The 2016 Satellite Bungoma ASK show that commenced on Wednesday 7th September 2016 entered day two at the Masinde Muliro Stadium show ground with pomp as various agri-business entities used the platform to showcase their products and services on offer.
This year’s edition has attracted a variety of business and agricultural companies, which intend to have a special touch to their consumers.
The ever present Kenya Seed Company was at it again, using this opportunity to offer their different seed breeds of different agricultural crops to their broad spectrum of customers from all divides who took their time to pass by their exhibition stand.
Farmers and the general public had a view of the latest projects the company was working on as Albert Sumba, the Company’s sales manager welcomed more people to attend the show and pass by his stand.
“Anybody who is not here is missing a lot. We welcome them heartily to come and visit our stand,” he said.
“There is so much with our company, ranging from the various seed varieties on offer plus much agricultural education,” Mr. Sumba added.
The West Media stand also recorded large crowds of people, who came over to either grab a taste of the soothing good music and entertainment engineered by the company’s rich talents of presenters and deejays or to quench their thirst of gaining information as regards West Media’s products and services.
Their questions as regards West FM radio station, West TV, the Weekly Western Chronicle publication and the West Media website were professionally answered as their concerns were handled by the Company staff at the stand
Other small business persons and vendors were grateful that this year’s show had good business to show off, as they openly agreed to the fact that they were recording high profits.
Some of them, however, lamented high gate entry fees especially to business persons intending to own a stand, something that hampered their progress as far as profit making is concerned.
“This is another opportunity for us to expand our business boundaries, and we are grateful,” one fruit vendor said.
“But truth be told, the gate charges, especially to us, are too high and I fear this is chasing some of us away,” another one was quick to add.
The ASK show will enter day three on Friday 9th September 2016, as the official launch, to be presided over by Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga is expected to take place.
