“The MP is standing with you in this difficult moment,” said Nabwera who disclosed Savula will personally visit the institution. Speaking on behalf of the management, Mr. Augustine Oware, the Principal, expressed the school’s gratitude toward the legislator and at the same time called for more support from stakeholders and well-wishers.
Oware also extended the same gratitude to St. Josephs Boys Kitale, who donated 14 blankets in aid of the 14 form four students that were affected by the inferno.
“Besides assistance from our well-wishers, I also want to thank members of the teaching and support staff, students and the sponsor for their various and selfless contributions,” noted Oware, pointing out that students had donated uniforms and some personal effects for
their affected colleagues.
According to the Principal, the affected students will on Thursday be issued with new mattresses bought by proceeds raised internally. Friends Church, the sponsor, has meanwhile donated Sh.14,000. A spot check by West Media revealed teaching and learning activities
were going on despite the tragedy.
