The requiem mass for the late former minister William Ole Ntimama was held at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi. Before his death, Ntimama served as a member of parliament for 25 years and as a cabinet minister in various capacities.
Among the leaders who attended the requiem mass is the presidential candidate in the last election for Tanzania Edward Lowassa who eulogized Ntimama as a leader he admired and wished to follow in his footsteps and he also said that he has lost a great friend. Interior Minister Joseph Nkaissery was also present, together with CORD leader Raila Odinga and DPP Keriako Tobiko.
Governor for Narok County Hon. Samuel Kuntai Ole Tunai said that all leaders from that region have learnt a lot from Ntimama citing that he brought awareness to Masaai land.
On Monday the Masaai performed traditional rituals at his Motonyi home in Narok County that involved slaughtering of a special bull.
Ntimama died of natural causes on the night of 1st September 2016 in his Narok home where his body was taken to Lee Funeral Home.
The body will be transported to his Narok home for the burial ceremony that will be held on Wednesday 14th September 2016.
