Four police officers were on Thursday afternoon injured after a police chopper they were in crashed at the NYS Engineering Institute in Mathare North area, Nairobi County.
The pilot struggled to crash land the chopper at an open field to avoid casualties that would have occurred should it have crashed in the congested Mathare North area.
No fatalities were reported from the crash with the occupants being visibly shaken.
This incident comes a few hours after a light plane crashed along Moi South Lake road in Naivasha bursting into flames killing one person and injuring five others minutes after taking off from Naivasha airstrip.
A crowd gathered on the perimeter wall of the NYS Engineering Institute as they sought to have a view of the ill-fated chopper.
