Following the coming together of opposition parties under the umbrella of NASA in a function at the Bomas of Kenya, the team seems to be cementing their ground as they revealed a consensus on a party constitution that is set to give guidance on how the united opposition will operate.
“We are pleased to announce today the formation of an expanded outfit that will reach the broad masses of our people everywhere within our land ad to unify all our progressive forces for lasting positive change,” said Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula.
Furthermore, NASA have come up with a 12 member team tasked with drafting a manifesto that will be used as a vehicle to unseat Jubilee from power as well as to undertake all the oversight operations of its secretariat, with the major task of ensuring that the alliance has its flagbearer.
The team members include Senator James Orengo, Senator Bonny Khalwale, Senator Johnson Muthama, Senator Agnes Zani, Hon. Eseli Simiyu, Hon. Dr Chris Wamalwa, Hon. Farah Maalim, Hon. Francis Nyenze, Hon. Kipruto Arap Kirwa, Hon. Timothy Bosire and Hon. Sakwa Bunyasi, “There will be one other addition name to follow,” added ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi.
ODM party leader Raila Odinga assured Kenyans that NASA is the party which will remove Jubilee from power, insisting that the opposition alliance is the team that represents Kenyans from all dynamics and walks of life. He said the party will field candidates in all elective positions from MCA level to the President.
