Mike Wabwile Simiyu, a pupil who got 379 marks in the 2016 KCPE exams in Sinoko DEB Primary school in Kanduyi Sub County, Bungoma County, may miss his admission into secondary school due to a lack of school fees.
According to his teacher Justus Masibo, Wabwile’s mother is a widow and she does not have the capability to pay secondary school fees for her son. He revealed that Wabwile got letters of admission from Machakos Boys High School and St. Mary’s Kibabii Boys and he urged well-wishers to assist.
“Wabwile was a pupil in my school, he was hardworking and he was index four. He managed to score 379 marks,” said Mr. Masibo. “He needs assistance from any well-wisher in order to pursue his education because his mother is a widow and is unable to raise even a single cent to pay fees for him,” said Mr. Masibo.
Wabwile said that he will be much appreciative if he gets that chance to join one of the schools that he was chosen to join so as he can achieve his dreams. He said that he aspires to be a doctor in future.
“My mother is a widow and we live in a quarter piece of land, therefore, she cannot raise school fees for me,” said Wabwile.
He also stated that they had tried to get help but it was all in vain, “My teachers and my mother have tried to look for help in different organizations but we haven’t managed to get any,” he said, adding that he will work even harder once he joins secondary school, and he won’t let down whoever will pay his secondary school fees for him.
