Deputy President William Ruto has said Jubilee have a winning ticket in Nairobi. He said this to cement his approval of Mike ‘Sonko’ Mbuvi and his running mate Polycarp Igathe, who are set to square off against incumbent Evans Kidero. “We have a winning ticket for this great city of Nairobi,” said Ruto. He said Nairobi will have the most sensitive, people-centred leadership, that they’ve been looking for as a government.
Jubilee Gubernatorial aspirant Mike Sonko said they’re looking to restore the cleanliness and glory of Nairobi, “I shall occasionally be making spot checks to ensure this is achieved,” said Sonko. He added that this will include employment opportunities to the unemployed youths who will be given priority. His running mate Igathe reiterated the same, “Our mission is to make Nairobi clean and bright, safe and secure, and to make Nairobi livable and hospitable,” he said. Mike Sonko picked the Vivo MD as his running mate, despite earlier expectations from some that he would opt for other candidates like Margaret Wanjiru, Dennis Waweru or Jimnah Mbaru.
