Third way Alliance presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot wants electoral body IEBC to make changes for credible upcoming fresh polls.

Aukot says that the Supreme Court judges found the IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati culpable of committing illegalities and irregularities in the just concluded elections.

He says that there is no need to disband the whole IEBC body since all the officials have deputies who can succeed them and deliver on the coming fresh polls.

“We have a serious deep seated problem as to which we can trust the IEBC today to conduct credible elections”, said Aukot in an interview.

The Third Way Alliance party leader also said that there is a need for all presidential candidates to be considered back to fresh polls as ordered by the Supreme Court of Kenya.

On his earlier sentiments as to if the UN should hold the upcoming elections, Aukot said that we are already compromised and the bad elements constituted in the IEBC should be dealt away with for IEBC to be trusted.

The IEBC has been put on spot check with many people backing up the idea to sanitize the institution before we head for fresh polls in the Country with Chiloba pointed out as the man to watch for credibility.

Today NASA leader Raila Odinga has threatened to boycott elections citing lack of consultation on the date scheduled for the next polls by IEBC among other reasons.

They include access to the technology systems by all stakeholders, an audit of the IEBC servers and seriousness to handle the upcoming elections.Mr.Odinga was speaking to members of the press at Wilson Airport.
