Nandi governor Stephen Sang accompanied by his wife today cast his vote at Kobujoi primary school in Aldai constituency.

Despite low voter turn out in some polling stations across Nandi, Sang had hopes that by afternoon the turnout will be hundred percent as majority were still carrying out their household tasks.

According to him voters turnout will shoot up to 99 per cent before the end of the exercise thus appealed to residents to keep time by ensuring they vote before the closure of the polling centers.

The governor further clarified that security here in Nandi is well apart from the border of Nandi and Kisumu where Nasa supporters blocked the Kapsabet-Kericho highway at Muhoroni advocating for no elections.

The voting exercise in Nandi kicked off smoothly at 6.00 AM official time with no hitches experienced as the BVR kits worked well. Security was beefed up at least Two security officers per polling centers.
