Sirisia MP John Waluke has urged voters to turn up in large numbers and vote for Jubilee leader and President Uhuru Kenyatta. While addressing the press in Eldoret, Waluke said NASA leaders have bad plans that may plunge the nation into a crisis, but said voters should still come out to vote given that security will be available “I urge Western Kenya residents, Bungoma and Sirisia residents to turn out and vote in peace and vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta,” he said.
He said that there shouldn’t be any bloodshed because of politics, “This nation is ours as Kenyans, the country is bigger than both Raila Odinga and President Kenyatta,” he said. The MP also affirmed that the polls will go on as planned, and it will be free and fair, “Kenyans have keenly seen the lies perpetuated by NASA.”
He further revealed that the main reason why NASA withdrew their candidature was because of lack of funds, “In 2007, Raila didn’t have the money to see out his campaigns,” he said, “It’s not about an equal playing field in the polls, but it’s about Raila’s lack of funds. Back in 2007, other leaders could’ve outsourced campaign funds but at the moment, if he doesn’t have the funds then he doesn’t have the funds.”
Waluke lauded the work done by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto, saying that the work and development they’ve accomplished in their years in office surpasses the works accomplished by all the preceding regimes in the country.
