President Uhuru Kenyatta has conveyed to the National Assembly the nomination for vetting and approval of Justice Paul Kihara Kariuki as Attorney General, to fill the void left by former Cheif Justice Githu Muigai. Noordin Mohamed Haji has been conveyed as the nominee for Director of Public Prosecution, the position vacated by Environment Cabinet Secretary Keriako Tobiko.
Other names forwarded for vetting include Harry Kimutai as the PS for Livestock, Susan Komen as the PS for East African Community, John M. Omenge as the PS for Mining, Alfred Cheruiyot PS Correctional Services, Prof Fred Sigor as PS Irrigation, and Jerome Ochieng PS for ICT. Engineer John Musonik has been appointed the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) for Petroleum and Mining, Hassan Noor Hassan for Sports, and Mohamed Ibrahim Elmi for Environment.
Furthermore, Richard Titus Ekai, Engineer John Okuna Ogango, and Wilfred Machage have been nominated as ambassadors. The names have been forwarded to the National Assembly for vetting and approval.
