The Nandi County government through the Ministry of Roads under Governor Stephen Sang has acquired more road work machinery. Speaking after flagging off two newly acquired backhoes purchased at a cost of Kshs 8.5 million each and a fuel tanker at a cost of Kshs 7.9 million, Governor Sang said the acquisitions will be channelled to improving the road networks across Nandi County.
He further said his government is keen to provide a lasting solution to the problems facing the roads sector. The Governor, who was accompanied by top County officials during the flagging off revealed his County administration has embarked on a massive program set on improving and maintaining road networks across the County, this being one of his main agendas to transform Nandi, “So far, so good, we’ve graded 618 km, gravelled 212 km, and dozed 191.5 km.”
