Friends School Bokoli Boys in Webuye West Constituency in Bungoma County has received a new and first chaplain since it began in 1967. The chaplain was received with joy and celebrations by the school and the mother church as General Superintendent for Lugulu Yearly Meeting Gabriel Khaemba said that he has strong belief that the chaplain will deliver according to his qualifications. “We are here because we want to introduce our new chaplain who is coming to deal with the spiritual nourishment of students in this school. Pastor Sikolia’s qualifications will enable him to work with Bokoli fraternity,” said Khaemba.
Mrs. Beatrice Nyongesa who is the General Presiding Clerk of Bokoli Monthly meeting church expressed her joy after receiving the new pastor who will be serving them after their resident pastor-Jotham Simiyu was transferred to Khalala Monthly Meeting Church.

Mr Conrad Walumbe, the Principal of the school expressed his gratitude, “In the past, we’ve been inviting preachers from different denominations who were not even consistent but this time around, I would like to thank the Quaker church for thinking that we also deserve to have a chaplain,” said Mr Walumbe, “In most cases as you look at schools that perform well in national examinations in this region you will realize that they have chaplains, therefore it is my prayer and I believe that as Bokoli we are also going to be among the top performers,” he added.
Pastor David Sikolia who is the new chaplain that will be serving the school cited his expectations and promised to work together with the teachers to ensure that Bokoli Friends Boys grow spiritually thus improve in their academics.
Besides serving the school as the chaplain, Pastor Sikolia will also serve as the resident pastor of Bokoli Monthly Meeting Friends Church after serving Bungoma Monthly Meeting Friends Church for four years.
