The Bungoma County government has launched a market lighting project in Ndivisi ward, Webuye East Sub County, at Malomonye and Misemwa markets, in order to boost ease of doing business in and around the markets. Addressing residents during the project launch, area MCA Martin Wanyonyi Pepela said during his tenure, more than eight markets have benefitted from the lighting project and he will make sure all markets in the ward benefit since it will also boost security. The Ndivisi MCA urged the youths and other people to engage in businesses since the County government is providing a conducive environment evidenced by moves such as providing the market lighting and availing loans.

Pepela affirmed that he will finish all the projects he pledged to set up and urged Ndivisi residents to work closely with him, especially on the political front to cool down any temperatures. He also urged resides to fully participate in the upcoming census, as the results tabulated will determine the funds allocated to the County.
The officer in charge of Trade Maurice Wawire said that if the Ministry will receive more funds, the all the busy markets in Bungoma County will benefit from lighting projects, adding that this will create a conducive business environment. Lutaccho sub location assistant chief Joseph Wafula lauded the County government and the area MCA, but warned against vandalism of the equipment, stating that residents should be vigilant and anyone who will be culpable of this should be charged. He also urged the contractor to do a thorough work, citing a case where contractors were awarded tenders to put up lights at Lugusi market but the work was always poor.
