The Nandi civil society team led by their Chair Mr Shadrack Tarno have declared their full support for President Kenyatta’s war on graft.
Speaking to West Media in Nandi, the civil society lauded the President’s state of the nation address for highlighting important issues that many expected Kenyans expected including corruption. Shadrack Tarno supported the President’s sentiment that anyone implicated in graft and with a case to answer in court will be dismissed.
He also noted the Presidents’affirmation that stolen public funds and assets must be returned to the public.
So far eight cabinet secretaries and eight principal secretaries have stepped aside to pave way for investigations and prosecution. Seven current and former governors and over thirty chief executive officers of state corporations are under active investigation or prosecution for various corruption related offences.
