Thousands of Kenyans turned up to register for the Huduma Namba,a day before the registration deadline on Saturday May 18th. Long queues have been witnessed in different places countrywide.
Some have faulted the service delivery at the registration points, that has seen people queue for long hours, with queues forming from as early as 4:00 am. It has been the norm for the whole week, and Interior CS Fred Matiang’i announcement earlier in the week that there would be no extension undoubtedly spurred more Kenyans to action.
Another notable feature has been a ticketing form of line booking, where people are handed numbers, so as to occupy places in line and create more order, some received numbers so much down the line that their registration was pushed to the next day.
