The family of the late Joe Kadenge has called for help in order to raise the Kshs 5 million budget required for the funeral of the football legend. Kadenge passed away on Sunday in Nairobi, and his burial is slated for next Saturday, July 20th, in Vihiga County. A requiem service will be held on 17th at the Friends International Centre in Nairobi, and his body will be flown to Kisumu on Thursday.
On Tuesday, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vihiga Senator George Khaniri visited the late Kadenge’s family in Mariakani Estate, South B, in Nairobi to pass their condolences. On Monday, Deputy President William Ruto accompanied by Langata MP Nixon Korir and Starehe MP Charles Njagua also visited the family in South B, where the DP assured the family of the government’s support.
