Eighteen Salaams Clubs have been launched in Kiminini, Trans Nzoia County. Speaking during the launch of the Clubs on Saturday, the County fans chairperson Silas Omanyo assured the fans of impending benefits.
He said that so far, the fans Clubs leaders have put measures in place to set up saccos which will benefit the fans by availing loans at minimal interest rates. Fans who ahven’t joined the fan groups were also urged to join, given that West Media intends to unite the fans through the Salaams Clubs.
Another notable development in the Salaams Clubs is that table banking has been established, a weekly agreement. Moreover, the Kakamega fans umbrella has started a project where members’ bright students get scholarships to university level.
