West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo has reshuffled his cabinet for the second time since he assumed office as the second Governor of West Pokot County, in a move aimed at improving service delivery. The reshuffle has affected 8 departments with only CEC Geoffrey Lipale maintaining his Health and Sanitation docket and Joel Ngasia, the recently appointed Agriculture CEC also retaining his position.
In the changes, Lonyangapuo has moved Augustine Monges who was heading the Public works, Roads and Transport department to Finance and Economic planning. The CEC who was heading the Finance docket, Lukas Chepelion, has been moved to the Water, Environment and Natural resources department.
The Public works, Roads and Transport department is now under CEC Christine Apokoreng, who was moved from the Education and Technical training post. The docket has been handed over to Ruth Kisabit who has been moved from the Sports, Culture and Tourism department. The Sports department is now under Emily Chepoghisyo who has been moved from the Water, Environment and Natural resources department.
The Ministry of Public service, ICT and devolved units is now headed by Joel Arumonyang who used to be the CEC for Trade, Industrialization and Cooperative development. Kitaleuyan Francis who was the CEC for Lands, Housing, Physical planning and Urban development now heads the Trade ministry.
The Ministry of Lands, Urban planning is now headed by Jackson Yaralima who was moved from the ICT docket. Several Chief Officers have also been reshuffled.
