Dennis Ruto Kapchok, whose better known as ‘Mulmulwas’ of the ‘Kijana fupi nono round’ fame, has dismissed allegations on social media that he was bribed to bury the hatchet with Governor Lonyangapuo.
This comes a few days after Kapchok reconciled with West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo after a long standing dispute between the two. The two decided to do away with their differences and start a new chapter of developing the County.
Kapchok, who has been a great critic of West Pokot County administration, said he has decided to make the turn after realizing that the government he has been fighting is on the right track.
He had already launched the Mulmulwas movement in Kapenguria Township. He said the handshake between him and the Governor is healthy for West Pokot residents as it will lower political temperatures in the County. “Am ready to work with Lonyangapuo. it’s a new beginning, of transforming our County…”
He confirmed that issues he raised have been addressed, “I have been raising critical issues which required the attention of the Governor. Most of the issues I raised have been addressed through the Governor’s efforts and legal provisions,” he said “My desire was to make West Pokot County a better County that is focused on development, fairness and one that can provide opportunities for all residents in the County.”
He said the issues he raised include the deteriorating health services at Kapenguria hospital. Concerning the Deputy Governor problem, who has been absent from the County for a long time, Kapchok called on the Senate to Summon the DG and state his position.
Lonyangapuo said that it is high time County leaders put aside their political differences and forge forward in unity. He said the County administration welcomes any positive criticisms. He urged youths not to be misused for political reasons.
