Kapchepok primary school rooftops were blown off by strong winds accompanied by heavy rainfall experienced on Saturday in Nandi. Four classroom rooftops were blown off.
Speaking at the school, the sub-county director of education for Chesumei Mr David Mwandihi said the school has a student enrollment of over four hundred pupils who will suffer in January if the school’s renovation and reconstruction would not have taken place. He urged the government, well wishers to chip in and aid the school. “Assistance to repair the school roofs will be highly appreciated,” he said.

On the other hand, the school head teacher Mr. Andrew Rotich said the school has never experienced such a disaster and urged the Nandi County government and the Chesumei CDF office to offer assistance before schools reopen.
