Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has dared the ANC party to expel him from the party after he was suspended by the party on Friday due to gross misconduct, evidenced by his support of ODM candidate Imran Okoth during the Kibra by-election. According to ANC, Malala also made impugned remarks concerning the ANC candidate Eliud Owalo, “After careful reflection and deliberation, ANC has decided to take necessary disciplinary action against this member on grounds that his conduct seriously offends not only ANC party laws but Statute laws as well.”
However, speaking to the press on Saturday, the Senator has said the suspension is ill advised and meant to serve sectarian interest within and outside the ANC party. He dared the party to complete his expulsion, “I am ready to be expelled from ANC, I am ready for a by-election and I’m very confident that I will capture back the seat with a landslide,” he said.
According to the ANC national disciplinary committee chairperson, the party wrote to Senator Malala and outlined why they were suspending him.
